YOU ARE WORKING IN MY LIFE
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
His disciples didn’t understand at the time that this was a fulfillment of prophecy. But after Jesus entered into his glory, they remembered what had happened and realized that these things had been written about him. Many in the crowd had seen Jesus call Lazarus from the tomb, raising him from the dead, and they were telling others about it. That was the reason so many went out to meet him—because they had heard about this miraculous sign. Then the Pharisees said to each other, “There’s nothing we can do. Look, everyone has gone after him!”
John 12:16-19 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
Jesus had recently raised Lazarus from the dead and the news was spreading. People wanted to see the man who could raise the dead. They were beginning to think Jesus was their Messiah. They were ready for a king to overthrow Rome. The week of Jesus’ crucifixion begins with what we often refer to as His triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Jesus gives instructions to some of His disciples to go and get a donkey for Him to ride on. In the ancient Jewish world kings would ride a donkey into the city of Jerusalem after they had been victorious in battle. The donkey was a sign of peace and not war. In Zechariah 9 of the Old Testament the prophet had declared the Messiah would come riding into town on a donkey. Jesus was fulfilling that prophecy—but the disciples didn’t realize everything that was going on at that moment. It was not until after His death and resurrection they began to see that prophecy fulfilled. Often in our lives we don’t recognize the hand of God working in the moment. We often miss the pieces of the puzzle that God is working in our lives. It is not until we pause and look back on our lives that we begin to see the hand of God working in us and through us. As we begin this Holy Week, let’s pause and allow the Holy Spirit to show us how God has been working in our lives. Let’s give God praise and worship for His work in us. Let’s walk forward by faith to believe God has a plan working for our lives.

I am believing in the plan of God—even when I don’t fully see it.
Lord I know I have been through the storm lately , as I am a bit sad I know that you are a great God and there’s nothing you can’t do . Besides all storms come before a sunny day. I trust that and more importantly I trust Lord . Thank you for everything .
