IT IS CALLED GRACE
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. For he knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust.
Psalms 103:13-14 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
Perfection is impossible. We are all human, yet we are all loved by God.
God understands you completely. He's fully aware of your humanity. He knows what makes you tick. He knows your faults, your fears, your foibles, your failures, and frustrations and all those things. And yet God has chosen to love each of us unconditionally.
Cindy and I are blessed with two children and four grandchildren. There is nothing any of them can do that will make us stop loving them. I may not always agree with their choices. I may have times when I am disappointed in their behavior—but I will always love them, and I always want the best for them.
My love is human love and has its limitations. God’s love is unconditional. He has chosen to love us when we don’t deserve to be loved. That is called grace.
We can lean into the grace of God. We can trust His grace. But we can’t make it cheap grace. God’s grace can never be an excuse for us to continue to live in rebellion or sin. We must choose a path of righteousness. We must submit our will to the will of the Father.
When we submit our will to His will, we can expect His grace to transform our hearts and empower us to live victorious over things that would harm our lives. God’s love wants us to live in freedom and victory.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit help me to realize the power of Your love. Help me to submit to Your love and live in freedom.
