WHAT DOES MY FAITH SAY ABOUT ME?
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalms 23:6 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
David had faith in the assurance that God was working in his life to bring good for him. David suffered through injustice and mistreatment, but he never lost confidence that God was going to bring good for him.
Learning to trust the goodness of God is always a challenge. There are often people and circumstances that seem unfair and unjust. We have good cause to wonder why God doesn’t correct the wrongs and make things right in our timing and our way.
Having faith in God means we are willing to wait for God’s timing and God’s process. His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts.
Faith tells me God will work all things together for my good (Eph. 3:20). But the process God uses to work things together is rarely the process I think is best. Often it takes too long and takes a different path than I would prefer.
Do I have the faith to believe God is in charge and His ways are better than my ways?
When I allow my spirit to question God’s motivation I am opening the door for bitterness, anger, and all kinds of bad emotions to take over my life.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit help me to keep my heart pure and holy before You. Help me to trust You even when I don’t understand Your timing or method.

This is easier to write than to do. I have to work on this.
