GOD IS WITH US IN OUR TROUBLE

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.
Psalms 91:15 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
We look today at the fourth promise God gives to those who love Him and choose to live in the shelter of the Almighty. This promise is “I will be with them in trouble.”
I used to think if I really got everything together in my spiritual life and became the perfect Christian, I would not have any more trouble. As I matured in my understanding of life as a follower of Jesus, I realized trouble is a part of the package.
We live in a world corrupted by sin. Even nature has been messed up by the sins of mankind and therefore we have fires, floods, and hurricanes. God makes no promise that we will avoid all trouble as we follow Jesus. But He does promise to be with us in our trouble.
The prophet Isaiah gave us some great words from God, “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.”
(Isaiah 43:2 NLT)
Whatever trouble we go through we can be confident that God is with us. He wants to help us walk through any trouble life may throw at us. We are not alone. We don’t have to survive in our own strength. God is with us.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father God, I thank You that I am not alone. You are with me today. There is nothing that I will face that I must face alone. I choose to love You and live under Your shelter. Because I am close to You, I know You will be with me in whatever trouble comes my way.

Trouble don’t last always. Lord I’m so thankful that even in sadness you’ve always brought me out. Thank you so much for everything.
