GOD’S WAY IS THE BEST WAY
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
When Pharaoh finally let the people go, God did not lead them along the main road that runs through Philistine territory, even though that was the shortest route to the Promised Land. God said, “If the people are faced with a battle, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” So God led them in a roundabout way through the wilderness toward the Red Sea. Thus, the Israelites left Egypt like an army ready for battle.
Exodus 13:17-18 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
God’s way is always the best way—even though it might not be the most direct way! God had a purpose in His process. He knew the children of Israel were not yet ready for war. The most direct route to the Promised Land was through Philistine territory. But God knew it was too early to expect Israel to be willing to fight. They had to learn to obey first and fight later. God knows our strengths and our weaknesses. He knows what we can handle. If we submit to His plan and His timing, we will always discover it is the best for us. This is why it is crucial to have daily contact with God. Each day we need to touch base to be sure we are taking the right steps for today. God may give us the picture of where we are going, but we need to know the path and the timing. I can drive to my office by several different routes. There is one route that is normally the quickest way to get there. But on occasion, due to traffic or an accident, it is not the best choice. That is why I regularly use Waze to give me directions to get someplace I go all the time. Waze is constantly updated with the latest traffic information. It knows what is happening at this moment that could impact my drive. The Holy Spirit is better than Waze. He knows exactly what is going on in my world and in me. He knows where the problems might me. He knows where that person is that needs a word of encouragement or a smile. He knows where I’ll have a divine appointment to impact someone’s life—or one that will impact my life. Let’s be sure to check in regularly with the Holy Spirit.

I want to always be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and chose His path.
Your Plan brings prosperity, peace, and maybe winding roads. But I will stand firm in my belief for you
Perfect example . I recently didn’t check my gps on the way to work because I thought I knew the way landed me in tons of traffic . Moving forward I chose to apply this to my life . I truly need God every step of the way.
