FIX MY THOUGHTS
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Though I am innocent, my own mouth would pronounce me guilty. Though I am blameless, it would prove me wicked.
Job 9:20 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
I know that I have read the book of Job more than once in my life. I have even taught from the book of Job. But today I got a new insight when I got to chapter nine and the passage for today’s thought.
Job was like a lot of us—he was his own worst critic. Those who study human behavior teach us that our thoughts determine our feelings, and our feelings determine our actions. If I want to change my life, I must change my thinking.
We are constantly talking to ourselves. Normal conversation is about 150 to 200 words a minute. But when we talk to ourselves it is at a rate of about 1,300 words per minute. I am told this is because our mind sees in pictures, and you can see a thought in a nano-second.
We must be intentional to focus our thoughts. Paul tells us in Philippians 4:8 we need to “fix your thoughts.” I believe we must fix our thoughts on what God wants. We fix our thoughts on God’s grace and mercy. We fix our thoughts on what God, through His grace and mercy, wants to do in our lives.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit help me today to fix my thoughts. Forgive me for speaking negative to myself. Help me to see myself the way God sees me.

The other day my thoughts were racing and my mind was running over 1000 mph. I literally had to get on my knees and pray. I thank God for always healing me
I want to have my thoughts fixed by the Holy Spirit on a daily basis.
