FATHER, SHOW ME WHO I AM IN YOU

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

Philippians 4:13 NLT

TODAY’S THOUGHT

Who will you believe?

Many people have grown up with parents who constantly criticized and belittled them. Others have had family members or close relationships that constantly made them feel inferior or never enough. Some have tried to compare themselves with the talents and gifts of others and as a result feel inferior and worthless.

But the moment we become children of God by placing our faith in Jesus the Holy Spirit comes to live inside of us. At that moment we have the creative power of the universe living in us. We have been given unlimited strength, wisdom, and knowledge through the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Quit looking in a distorted mirror of what peers and partners and parents have said to you. Start repeating what God says about you: "I am acceptable, I am lovable, I am valuable, I am forgivable, and I am capable." Who are you going to believe? What other people say about you or what God says about you.

God says you are a winner. God says you can do anything through Christ. You have a partnership with God who created the world from nothing with only His spoken word. It is time to change that voice in your head and invite the Holy Spirit to speak hope, confidence, and life into your thinking.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Holy Spirit, I ask You to show me the person God has created me to be. Help me to realize I am acceptable. I am lovable. I am valuable. I am forgivable. I am capable.

Lord,

Thank you for seeing me as something and loving me , even when I don’t seem to love myself.
