GOD NEVER FAILS OR ABANDONS
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.
Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
Have you ever wondered where is God?
David, the person the Bible says was a man after God’s own heart, had periods of time in his life that he wondered where God was. David said, “O Lord, why do you stand so far away? Why do you hide when I am in trouble?” (Psalms 10::1). Then again, “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me? Why are you so far away when I groan for help?” (Psalms 22:1).
There are moments in life where we feel like God has abandoned us or taken a vacation just when we really need Him. Rick Warren said, “The deepest level of worship is praising God in spite of pain, thanking God during a trial, trusting him when tempted, surrendering while suffering, and loving him when he seems distant.”
Anyone can worship when we are in a corporate gathering of other believers and the band is playing our favorite song. When our bills are paid, we are healthy, our loved ones are safe, and our relationships are secure. But what about worshipping God when we don’t feel like it?
Even though David had moments of wondering he always seemed to stir something within and remind himself that God was still able and willing to work on behalf of His children. We must do the same thing. We must be willing to worship when we don’t feel like it. We must stir our spirit man to worship by faith.
God will never fail us or abandon us. He does not move away from us; we move away from Him. We must inspect our hearts and repent of anything that we have allowed to stand between us and God. Then by faith we worship until we have that new awareness of God’s presence.
God is always present; our worship helps us to be more aware of His presence.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit please help me to worship regardless of what I feel. Help me to constantly have an awareness of Your presence.

Lord , I never feel you are far. I do Feel at times I slide and feel that I am the one far . You never hesitate to grip me back to reality. I thank you always for loving me and treating me as a daughter and always having my back. Thank you Lord for the protection you send to me and the way you make for me. I’m never going to be worthy.
