TODAY’S THOUGHT
What does it take to get God to love us? NOTHING!
That is right--God pours out His love on us when we are still rebellious to Him. The moment we accept the grace of God through Jesus as our Savior and Lord we are ACCEPTED by God.
Many people struggle to feel accepted--by God or by others. Many people struggle with being accepted by their parents. They were never made to feel good enough or loved enough or accepted for who they were.
Because of this lack of acceptance, we work hard to achieve titles, toys, trophies, and treasures that we think will make us feel accepted. But nothing works to give a true, lasting sense of acceptance.
Only a genuine relationship with God can release a sense of self-worth and value that brings fulfillment. That relationship is a gift of grace--accept it!
You are ACCEPTED by your Heavenly Father. He has chosen to love you and call you His child. He is proud of you.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit please show me a greater picture of God's grace. Help me receive Your grace and share that with others as well. Help me to live in the fact that I am accepted and loved by Almighty God.
