ASKING FOR WHAT PLEASES GOD
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Do you believe that God wants to give you EVERYTHING you need and want? Our passage today says that God wants to “give us what we ask for.” That is God’s desire. The first part of the passage is crucial— “He hears us WHENEVER we ask for anything that PLEASES HIM.” The key is I asking for what pleases God? The confidence behind all of my prayers is the knowledge that what I am asking for is in line with God’s purpose and plan for my life. There have been many of my prayers that were not answered because they were not in alignment with God’s will. I have lived long enough to see that I was blessed when those prayers were not answered because they would have taken me away from God’s best for my life. Sometimes we should thank God for unanswered prayers. His mercy kept us from traveling down a road that would have been destructive and harmful. Let’s make a part of our daily prayer time to ask God what His desires for my life are. I may be praying for that person to ask me to marry them, and they may not be God’s will for my life. I may be asking for that job, and it may not be God’s will. Let’s yield our desires to God’s and then with confidence let’s expect things to begin to happen because of our prayers that are in alignment.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit please help me to see every situation in my life from God’s perspective. Help me to live in alignment with Your will. Give me confidence when I pray because I know it is Your will I am seeking.

At times I feel like I'm hanging on by my finger nail waiting for the trial to pass. I trust God by faith to get me through this.
God , please order my steps . I have been praying tremendously for my brother . I pray that your will For his life aligns with my prayers .
I want the Holy Spirit to direct my prayers and motivations so that my prayers align with God’s purposes.
Thank You Father that my purpose is to "put a smile on Your face." I can only do this when I am focused on You. Father, I pray that You drown out the call of this world to fulfill its purposes which is to distract me from You.
